fr. john riccardo

Fr. John is a priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit, ordained in 1996. He is currently serving as the Executive Director of Acts XXIX, a new non-profit apostolate that exists for the purpose of priestly and Church renewal.

Fr. John served most recently as the pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Plymouth, MI. There, he was witness to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in a way that caught the attention of pastors across the country. Acts XXIX works with bishops and priests around the country to respond to the urgent call of the past four Popes for a New Pentecost and a new evangelization, equipping pastors for the apostolic age in which we live.

He is the host of a new podcast “You Were For This with Fr. John Riccardo” and a radio program called “Christ is the Answer,” both of which can be heard on various outlets. He and the Acts XXIX team speak at various diocesan events around the country and are passionate about the power of the Gospel to transform people’s lives. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and the Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family.

Fr. Stephen pullis

Fr. Stephen Pullis is a son of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. Growing up 9th of 10 children, Father Steve graduated from Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic High School in 2002 and from Madonna University with a B.A. in Political Science in 2006. In the same year, he entered Sacred Heart Major Seminary, earning a B. Phil., an M.Div., and a S.T.B.. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit in 2011 and was assigned as Parochial Vicar at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Lake Orion. In 2013, Father Steve was assigned as Priest Secretary to Archbishop Allen Vigneron. He received his S.T.L. in Pastoral Theology with a focus on the New Evangelization from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, through the faculty of Sacred Heart Major Seminary in June of 2017. On July 1, 2017, Father began his assignment as Director of Evangelization, Catechesis and Schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit as well as an adjunct Spiritual Director at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. He is a weekend associate at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Shelby Township.

Bishop Robert Fisher

On Jan. 25, 2017, the Most Rev. Robert J. Fisher was ordained as auxiliary bishop to Archbishop Allen Vigneron. Bishop Fisher had previously served as rector of the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica in Royal Oak, one of many posts he held since his ordination as a priest in 1992.  Bishop Fisher attended archdiocesan Catholic schools until graduating from Univeristy of Detroit Jesuit High School in 1977. He went on to study at the Unviersity of Detroit, earning a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and later worked for the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) at their summer camps.  Bishop Fisher was ordained a priest in 1992 and in 1995 was assigned Director of Priestly Vocations for the Archdiocese. He has served at many parishes as well as serving on the Catholic Schools Council and Board of Directors of the Catholic Youth Organization.

Bishop Fisher currently serves as episcopal vicar and regional moderator for the Northeast Region of the Archdiocese.
